Team Rubicon - Skate Park Event
Thu, 02 Jun 2022 10:00
We are pleased to welcome back Team Rubicon back to Hilton Skate Park on Thursday 2nd June.
10am - 12pm - Scooter Session
1pm - 3pm - Skateboard Session
A professional instructor from Team Rubicon will be available all day to provide coaching to those who want to try the sports for the first time or add a few new skills. All ages and abilities welcome (parents too!) and all the equipment is provided such as skateboards, scooters, helmets and pads. Stay for as long as you want and try out these cool new sports. Did you know that skateboarding was in the Olympics last Summer? Did you know that scooters are now more popular than bicycles? Both sports offer a great way to get active and have fun with your friends.

Queen's Platinum Jubilee Street Party
Fri, 03 Jun 2022 12:00
Friday 3rd June 2022 from 12pm
A Community Street Party to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee on Main Street in Hilton
There'll be a wide variety of food to buy (Hog roast, Pizza, Indian, Vegan...) throughout the afternoon and entertainment, for all, from 1pm-5pm.
"Bring your own food and furniture" - please feel free to bring along your own food, tables and chairs and set up on the street and be part of making it an exciting and fun Community Day.
The event is being planned by a small group of individuals in conjunction with the "Party on the Park" team, the Scouts/Guides Association and supported by Hilton Parish Council.
We're also in discussion with both of the Primary schools.
We hope that many of the village's community groups will also participate. Let us know if you'd like to set up a stall ( no cost), provide food, and/or entertain us!
Main Street will be blocked off from the King's Head Pub to Sutton Lane, outside the Old Talbot Pub all day. Alternative through routes will be The Mease, or Dale End Road/Sutton Lane.
This is a day for the whole village to be part of, to make, and to enjoy.
More details to follow.
